About Us
Welcome to Ma Maison Childcare and Preschool Academy
Welcome to Ma Maison Childcare and Preschool Academy, formerly known as Ma Maison Childcare! Our name, meaning “My House” in French, embodies the essence of our center — a place where children feel secure, valued, and part of a loving community.
We understand the importance of providing a nurturing environment that fosters both growth and development. Here, every child is cherished, and each day is an opportunity to grow, play, and discover in a home away from home.
Fostering Lifelong Learning at Ma Maison Childcare
As a family-managed center, Ma Maison Childcare and Preschool Academy is built on the belief that early childhood experiences lay the foundation for lifelong learning. We offer a stimulating and supportive environment where our dedicated team of experienced educators fosters curiosity, creativity, and a love of discovery. We view each child as a unique individual, and our play-based curriculum blends educational activities with social and emotional development.
Our Journey
The story of Ma Maison began with Emmanuella Lauture, who spent over a decade in the banking industry, advancing from teller to management, and earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s degree in counseling and human resources development.
The idea of opening a childcare center emerged after she had twin daughters in 2003 and resurfaced when her youngest child was born five years later, as she sought to balance motherhood and career.
2013: The Beginning
In 2013, Emmanuella turned her home into a licensed, home-based childcare center, initially caring for six children under five.
2019: Expansion
Ma Maison’s success allowed for expansion, and by 2019, Emmanuella transitioned from her home to a small center with a licensed capacity of 25 children.
2021: Moving to Hubbard Mansion
In 2021, Ma Maison grew again, relocating to the Historic Hubbard Mansion, where we now proudly serve more than 100 children.
2024: Rebranding
In November 2024, we officially changed our name to Ma Maison Childcare and Preschool Academy, adopting the tagline “A Home for Early Growth and Learning,” to better reflect our expanded focus on early childhood education and our commitment to preparing children for school and lifelong learning.
